MESSAGE ON THE WALL

Le pareti spoglie in una stanza la rendono inevitabilmente triste e senza carattere. Non amo particolarmente i classici quadri ma preferisco di gran lunga mettere fotografie. I muri di casa nostra sono proprio tristi. Si lo ammetto. Non abbiamo appeso ancora niente. Il tempo è sempre poco, ma il fattore che gioca a mio sfavore è che non riesco mai a decidere dove mettere e cosa mettere. È sempre un dilemma!

The bare walls in a room makes it inevitably sad and without character. I do not like the classic paintings, but I much prefer to put photographs. The walls of our house are just sad. Yes I admit it. We have not hung anything yet. The time is always short, but the factor that plays against me is that I can never decide where and what to bring. It is always a dilemma!

Una certezza in tutto questo l’ho, ed è quella che mi piacciono un sacco le scritte, come quelle che trovate qui sotto. Ne ho una infatti…di cui forse vi ho anche già parlato e che spero presto trovi la sua collocazione.

One certainty in all this I have, and it is that I like a lot of the writing, such as those found below. I have one ... in fact, of which perhaps I have also already mentioned and which I hope will soon find its place

Scritte o iniziali possono essere dettagli carini che impreziosocono un angolo della casa una parete o perché no, una mensola o un tavolino.

Written details or initials may be nice to decor a corner of the house or why not a wall, a shelf or table.

Se ne trovano di ogni tipo, quelle che mi piacciono di più sono le scritte “zincate” e quelle in ferro arrugginito. Queste ultime sono un po’ difficili da reperire almeno qui in Italia ma sono sicuramente molto particolari e vintage.



If they find any kind, the ones I like best are the words "galvanized" and those rusty iron. These are a little 'difficult to find at least here in Italy but they are definitely very special and vintage.

Girovagando per i blog svedesi norvegesi, nordici in genere, se ne vedono parecchie. La propria iniziale appesa al muro della camera oppure appoggiata su un tavolino o su una mensola tra vasi in vetro e bulbi in fioritura, attraggono sempre la mia attenzione. A  voi piacciono?
Sono come piccoli messaggi da ricordare....

Wandering through the blogs Swedish Norwegian, Nordic in general, one sees a lot. Its initial hanging on the wall of the room or resting on a table or shelf in glass jars and bulbs in bloom, always attract my attention. Do you like them?
